If you dig deep, you can find traces of blues and gospel music in just about every contemporary rock song you hear.  Songs like “Stand By Me”, or even “American Pie” bear traces of American Southern Gospel Music.  For our Community Sing in June we will be singing songs that started out as traditional hymns and have evolved into popular songs.
