An installation that mimics the form of three seaweeds, or macroalgae. This installation is thought-provoking, meticulously hand-cut and dyed, the seaweeds writhe and curl like their natural forms. They are constructed from man-made materials and the end result is visually appealing with the strips of nylon full of small bumps and realistic holes.
Andi is well known for her iconic cable-tie sculptures, repurposing fabricated materials into organic natural forms reminding us of the continued threat to our waterways and ecosystems across the globe. She is a Wanaka-based multi-media artist whose inspiration comes primarily from pattern, order and process.
