Want to paint like a pro? Join Kasia Hebda, an artist and art conservator, for a five week in-depth exploration of watercolour painting techniques. Every Thursday from 22 February - 21 March, 6-8pm | MAHI TAHI | $300
Each week, we'll craft a new composition inspired by botanical still-life subjects, providing a hands-on opportunity to master essential watercolor techniques. Kasia will share her tips and tricks to help you get started.
Who is the class for?
This introductory course will provide you with the foundations of painting, helping you gain confidence in working with watercolours. Suitable for all levels, beginners are welcome. If you already have some skills but wish to develop them further and need a push, this course is perfect for you.
During the course you will learn:
· Foundations of painting with a focus on the specifics of the watercolour medium.
· Painting and drawing from observation.
· Basics of colour theory.
· Tips for mixing colours.
· Characteristics of different pigments.
· Cultivating a creative mindset.
All materials are provided. Feel free to bring your sketchbook, favourite brushes, coloured pencils, or any other materials you would like to use.
Newcomers are welcome.
Drop-in Option:
Considering just one session? You're more than welcome. Please note, participants enrolled in the full course will be given priority in case of overbooking. While individual sessions are available, the course is designed to build skills progressively week by week. Attending all 5 meetings ensures the most comprehensive and beneficial experience.
