'Speed Dating' with a twist- Come along and connect with a cause close to your heart, discover a new passion, meet wonderful people and organisations who strengthen our community through their mahi, and find out how you can get involved.
Wednesday 21st June 4:30-6:30pm
Celebrate National Volunteer Week with Volunteer South, QLDC and The Kiwi Kit Community Trust.
Free and open to all! Bring a friend! Drinks and nibbles provided.
Local non-profit organisations will have the opportunity to connect with members of the community, and raise awareness of their mission and work, and share how you can volunteer to help with their goals.
Here in Whakatipu, we are fortunate to have a wide range of community organisations that work in conservation, sustainability, creative and performing arts, events, elder care, youth support, food security, animal welfare, family and social support, community health and mental wellbeing. Whether you are new to the area or have been here a while, we invite you to connect with these fantastic people in a fun and playful way, and learn how you can make a difference! Volunteering provides the opportunity to meet new people, share your passion and develop new skills, and has a positive impact on your personal wellbeing, as well as strengthens the community you live in through your contribution.
So, are you ready to find your community match? Come along for a fun afternoon of chats and learn all about the exciting activities happening in town!
This event has been made possible by funding from Skycity and Volunteering New Zealand.
