This four-week workshop encourages participants to document their daily lives through illustration. With guided drawing prompts, storytelling techniques, and mindfulness practices, attendees are encouraged to explore their emotions and reflect on their experiences, expressing their life through their sketchbooks. Tuesdays from 18 March - 8 April, 10am - 1pm

Illustrated Life: A Mindful Journaling Workshop is a four-week creative journey designed for anyone looking to explore self-expression, mindfulness, and creativity. No prior drawing experience is required!

Led by Eric Lim, Arts Facilitator at Te Atamira, this workshop invites you to slow down, observe the world around you, and capture your thoughts, emotions, and experiences through a mix of sketching and creative reflection. With guided drawing prompts, storytelling techniques, and simple mindfulness practices, you’ll discover how illustrated journaling can become a joyful and meditative part of your daily life.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or picking up a sketchbook for the first time, this workshop is about play, discovery, and personal expression. Enjoy the process of bringing your Illustrated Life to the page!

Materials:

Participants are encouraged to bring along a sketchbook and their preferred crafting materials such as pencils, pens, watercolours, collage materials (magazines, glue, scissors), or markers.
