Use Your Words is a visual art exhibition that celebrates the profound power of language through the lens of four essential words: Mautohe | Protest, Aroha | Love, Mātauranga | Wisdom, and Auaha | Create. Featuring a diverse array of artists and creatives, the exhibition draws connections between these words and how they have shaped personal and collective experiences. Open daily until 21 February 2025.

Use Your Words invites visitors to reflect on the way words influence our thoughts, actions, and identities, while highlighting the richness of New Zealand’s artistic expression across multiple mediums. From lyrics and recipes to diaries, letters, sculpture and words, this exhibition provides an intimate look at how words can inspire action, forge connections, pass down knowledge, and spark imagination through interactive stations.

Artists and creatives include: Israel Tangaroa Birch, David Blair, Nigel Brown, Liz Breslin, Zoe Brand, Mark Catley, Ed Cruikshank, Hazel Cubis, Paul Dibble, Dick Frizzell, John Green, Anton Hart, Miles Hargest, Robyn Kahukiwa, David Kent, Richard Lewer, Jordan Luck, Kieran Monaghan, Amy Claire Mills, Gregory O'Brien, Martin Phillips, John Pule, Cecilia Russell, Bic Runga, Siliga David Setoga, Hāriata Rōpata Tangahoe, Wayne Youle, Hugh Young, Mervyn Williams, Julie Woods
