Voices Unleashed is an immersive experience in choral music, combining five choirs from our illustrious community of voices, of varying sizes and style. Join us again this year for an unforgettable experience. Community Sing to follow the performance. Friday 13 September, 7:30pm

Voices Unleashed will release the primal beauty of the human voice in harmony with each other.  Following on the breathtaking success of last year’s debut - Voices Unleashed  will be creating another interactive vocal landscape where the audience find themselves immersed IN the choirs to experience the rawness of the human voice but within the sophistication and synchronicity of the choir.

Joining us for Voices Unleashed:

Songbirds are a 25-strong, womans choir founded on a shared love of singing. This collective of fabulous women come together every week to sing popular music across the decades. In the words of Stephen Sondheim, "If I cannot fly, let me sing". Songbirds are a fun and energetic choir that whisk you away, back to that carefree and joyous part of yourself. You can't help but be caught up in the energy of Songbirds and their obvious delight in song.

Wasabi are a group of Japanese ladies who used to focus on only bringing up their children, but now just love gathering together; singing chatting, re-visiting our japanese heritage, eating home baking with green tea, and occasionally drinking.  We have been singing together since 2015 in places ranging from a smelly pig shed to the performance room in Te Atamira. We invite the audience to discover our cultural difference, language, dress, nature and a tiny bit of Japanese culture.

The Euphonics are Queenstown’s newest vocal group. They’ll be serving up a delicious mix of soulful voices, eclectic vibes and complex harmonies, to surprise and delight you with their musical offerings. Experienced vocalists Dini La Gossé, Parteewood, Anna Dorsey, Lana Cruickshank, Meg Hirata, and Jaehyun Lee will be taking the stage supported by local piano legend Masaki Nasakawa. Join them on a musical journey as they bring to life well known soul, gospel and RnB classics with a modern twist from artists including Boyz to Men, Jesse Glyn, Lady Gaga, and more. Don’t miss this chance to hear their new exciting sound in action.

In Harmony Collective presents an intimate performance featuring vocalists Charlotte Dempsey, Eve Corbett, Natasha Wilson, Rob Lee and Tim McCormick accompanied by pianist, Lizzy Green. These artists bring you an enchanting mix of timeless covers from Barbershop to Motown, sung in 4 parts. Each performer brings their own unique style and passion for music creating a blend of rich harmonies.

Candlelight were inspired by the Tiny Room Concert. Michelle Moynes, Teens Stallard, Erica Hastie and Mark Wilson, Margaret O’Hanlon and Pol Nicholson have joined in to create a unique blend of lovely harmonies, sublime violin, exquisite piano and tasteful guitar, providing beautiful renditions of contemporary and traditional tunes.

Community Sing was started by Margaret O’Hanlon (The Singers Workshop NZ) and has been a part of our community since May 2022 and is an ‘open’ inclusive choir where everybody is welcome.  The songs chosen are popular and well known and Choir Masters offer very basic harmony parts. We invite you to SING.
